YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY… NOW WHAT?
About you
You want to nail it. We do, too. We’ll hone in on what you want to say and the most effective way to say it.
Don’t have time? Roger that. We’ve been there, with the audience and crew waiting while we write a new joke to try on the second take. It’s amazing how fast answers come when there’s more than one person on it.
Not sure where to start? Contact us! Our free 15-minute consult will get you some clarity.
At a loss for words? You’re actually not, it’s all in there, and we can help bring it out.
Hate writing? So do some of our clients! They’ve ended up having fun and getting it done.
FOR A LOT OF WRITING, IT GOES LIKE THIS...
About the process
THE CALL: You talk, we ask questions and brainstorm; there may be laughter and actual genius.
THE DRAFT: We craft something delightful, then send it to you.
THE REVISION: We get your notes, make suggestions and implement your changes.
THE TWEAK: Some prefer to take it from here. If you’d like, we do a light polish.

Turnaround time
Mark Twain took “more than three weeks to prepare a good impromptu speech.” For 3 to 5-minute speeches and toasts, it’s generally a week. When possible, a short turnaround is available for a surcharge.
Cost
Coaching of academics, writing or performance is $200 an hour.
For all else, we quote a fee based on the parameters specified. If the project starts to go beyond the initial scope, we’ll give a heads up. Some clients choose to stay on time and on budget. Others discover bigger possibilities through the process and go for that!
Our gift certificates make unique, fun, and memorable gifts.

What if I don't like it?
This is a collaborative process; we rely on your input. (And great word-of-mouth from happy clients.) We’ll give our honest opinion what we think will work best and you decide what to use. Our goal is to help you meet yours.
PAYING IT FORWARD
The Power of Storytelling
Storytelling is a way to explore and engage the world. So we volunteer 5% of our work hours helping at-risk high school students write personal statements for their college entrance essays. They come away with a clearer vision of what they bring to a school and a stronger application.

BEHIND THE SCENES
About the founder
Laurie is an award-winning TV writer who’s written “Whoopi,” “Spin City,” “Charmed,” “Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street,” and many others.
She has a Master of Professional Writing degree from University of Southern California.
Laurie founded Words Delivered to make the talents of successful TV writers easily available to the public.
She saw the need for a vetted source of really funny, talented writers who could tackle people’s creative challenges and help make important moments amazing.
Her own list of peak experiences includes accepting a Writers Guild of America Award, giving a talk at TED Active, and delivering her undergrad commencement address.
That speech at Michigan State was her first, and the spontaneous standing ovation she got from 10,000 people made her feel like Han Solo in the throne room scene in “Star Wars." She wants others to get to feel that way, too.
She’s currently pitching several TV projects — including a dramedy partially inspired by ride-alongs she did with teen EMTs — and is in her tenth year of helping clients tap their word power.
